Marquee
This guide describes setting up the Marquee section.
Use this section to create a scrolling text banner across your page. The Marquee section is perfect for announcements, promotional messages, or brand statements. For accessibility purposes, if a user has reduced motion enabled, the marquee will display as a static banner instead of animating.

Set up a Marquee section
To set up a Marquee section:
- Go to Customize theme
- In Theme editor, select the page where you want to add the Marquee
- Select "Add section" > "Marquee"
Note: The section cannot be added to the header area of your store.
From the side menu, select Marquee to configure the following settings:
| Setting name | Description |

| Text | Enter the text you want to display in the marquee. This text will scroll across the screen and can be used for announcements, promotions, or welcome messages. |
| Repeat text | Enable this checkbox to automatically repeat the text for an infinity effect. When disabled, text is limited to 65 characters and moves at a slower speed. |
| Link | Optional URL to make the entire marquee clickable. |
| Text size | Choose from 12 size options ranging from S to 3XL/desktop 9XL. Some options provide different sizes for mobile and desktop viewing. Default is "3XL / desktop 4XL". |
| Speed | Adjust the scrolling speed using a slider from 20 to 300. Lower numbers create faster movement. Default is 150. |
| Direction | Choose between "Right to left" or "Left to right" scrolling. Default is right to left. |
| Font type | Select either "Body font" or "Header font" to match your store's typography. |
| Top section padding | Adjust the padding above the marquee (0-100px). |
| Bottom section padding | Adjust the padding below the marquee (0-100px). |
| Color scheme | Select a color scheme to match your store's design. |
