Policy Popup Section
Use this section to create a cookie consent banner that integrates with Shopify's Customer Privacy API.
This section provides a storefront interface for consent choices through Shopify's Customer Privacy API. Whether a store meets applicable privacy requirements depends on its configuration, notices, data practices, location, and legal obligations.
Set up a Policy Popup section
- Go to Customize theme
- In Theme editor, select any page
- Select "Add section" → "Policy"
This banner appears automatically based on Shopify's Customer Privacy API logic.

Important Notes

- Consider using a dedicated app for more complex consent management needs
- Banner appears at the bottom of the page with z-index 9999
A consent banner does not establish legal compliance by itself. Configure Shopify Customer Privacy settings for the store's actual data practices and obtain qualified advice about the laws that apply to the business and its visitors.
Link to your store's privacy policy in the popup text to provide customers with full transparency about data usage.
