Common Issues
Label One is a recently released theme, and we're actively collecting data on common issues that users might encounter.
As more merchants implement the theme, we'll update this documentation with specific issues and their solutions.
This section is regularly updated as we identify patterns and solutions. Check back for new troubleshooting tips.
General Troubleshooting Steps
Before diving into specific issues, try these general fixes:
- Clear your browser cache or use an incognito/private browsing window
- Refresh the page — some settings may require a page reload to take effect
- Check preview vs live — remember that preview mode changes won't affect your live store until you publish
- Test on multiple devices — verify the issue persists across different browsers and devices
Theme Settings
Settings don't appear to save:
- Clear your browser cache or try an incognito/private browsing window
- Some settings may require refreshing the page to see changes take effect
- Verify you're not in preview mode — changes in preview don't affect the live site until published
Changes aren't visible on my live site:
- Make sure you've clicked "Save" in the theme editor
- Publish your changes from the theme customizer
- Clear your site's cache if using a caching app
Customization
Custom code not working:
- Custom code additions should be tested thoroughly before implementation on your live store
- CSS customizations should be added to the
theme.scss.liquidfile for proper loading - JavaScript customizations should use the theme's existing modules when possible
- Verify code syntax and check browser console for errors
Theme sections missing or not loading:
- Check that the section is enabled in the theme editor
- Verify the section hasn't been accidentally deleted
- Try re-adding the section from the available sections list
Responsive Design
Layout issues on mobile:
- Always test your store on multiple devices (desktop, tablet, mobile)
- Some sections may require adjustment for optimal mobile display
- Font sizes that work well on desktop may be too large or small on mobile
- Check section-specific mobile settings in the theme editor
Images not displaying correctly:
- Verify image dimensions and aspect ratios
- Check focal point settings for images
- Ensure images are properly optimized (not too large in file size)
- Test with different image formats (JPG, PNG, WebP)
Performance
Site loading slowly:
- Optimize image file sizes before uploading
- Limit the number of sections on homepage
- Review installed apps that may impact performance
- See Performance Optimization guide for detailed tips
Section not appearing:
- Check visibility conditions and device-specific settings
- Verify the section is published (not just saved in preview)
- Review section placement in the theme editor
