Billing & Pricing

Panther & Cub Hosting is billed on a subscription basis through our secure Stripe platform. Pricing is simple, transparent, and predictable.

Billing Cycles​

  • Monthly billing → standard option, auto-renewed each month.
  • Annual billing → available on request, includes a 10% discount.
  • All plans are prepaid (we don't invoice after the fact).

Payment methods:

  • Credit/debit card via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex).
  • Direct bank transfer available for annual plans.
  • Invoices emailed automatically on payment.

Base Plans​

  • Pooled Hosting → $19 AUD/month (1 app only)
  • Private VPS Hosting → from $49 AUD/month (first VPS)
  • Enterprise Hosting → from $249 AUD/month (custom server sizing)

Additional VPS Instances​

If you need more capacity for additional apps or traffic:

  • 1st Private VPS: $49 AUD/month
  • 2nd Private VPS: $44 AUD/month
  • 3rd+ Private VPS: $39 AUD/month each

Migration Fees (One-Time)​

For existing sites moving to our hosting from another provider:

  • Simple sites (brochure, static sites): $200 AUD
  • Complex sites (e-commerce, database-heavy): $400 AUD
  • Custom apps (complex dependencies): $500+ AUD (quoted separately)

This covers full migration, testing, DNS cutover, and SSL setup.

No Fee for New Builds or Plan Upgrades
  • If we build your site from scratch, there's no migration or setup fee — you simply start on your chosen hosting plan.
  • If you upgrade from pooled → private → enterprise within our hosting, there's no migration fee — you just start paying the new monthly rate.

App Setup Fees (One-Time)​

Deploying new applications on your VPS incurs a one-time setup fee:

  • Simple apps (Listmonk, Plausible, Umami): $150–250 AUD
  • Complex apps (Nextcloud, Metabase, n8n): $300–500 AUD

This covers deployment, configuration, SSL setup, and integration.

Email Services​

We provide managed email via third-party providers:

User Email (Migadu):

  • Setup fee: $100–150 AUD (one-time)
  • Monthly management (optional): $15–25 AUD
  • Provider costs: Passed through at cost

Transactional/Marketing Email (AWS SES/Resend/Mailgun):

  • Setup fee: $150–250 AUD (one-time)
  • Monthly management (optional): $20–30 AUD
  • Sending costs: Billed directly to you by the provider (we set up your own account)

Storage Pricing​

VPS Storage (Your Working Space):

  • Pooled: 5 GB included → +$5 AUD/10 GB per month after.
  • Private: Full VPS storage included (40–160 GB) → expandable via Hetzner volumes if needed.
  • Enterprise: Full server storage included (256 GB – 2+ TB) → expandable via Hetzner volumes.

Backup & Media Storage (Offsite):

  • Included in all plans at no additional charge for standard usage.
  • Covers automated backups, media assets, and static files.
  • Powered by Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible, zero egress fees).
No Hidden Storage Fees

Backup and media storage is bundled into your monthly hosting fee. You only pay for VPS disk expansion if you exceed the included working space for your plan.

Upgrades & Downgrades​

  • Pooled → Private VPS: can be migrated anytime at no additional charge (you just start paying the private VPS rate).
  • Add more VPS capacity: additional VPS instances can be added monthly (volume discounts apply).
  • Upgrade VPS size: existing VPS can be resized vertically if you need more power on a single instance.
No Penalty for Growth

We don't charge migration fees when you outgrow pooled hosting and need to upgrade to private. You're already paying more per month — we want to make growth as frictionless as possible.

Cancellations​

  • Cancel anytime via your subscription portal or by contacting support.
  • Hosting and backups remain active until the end of the billing cycle.
  • We provide a final export (files + database) if you want to move elsewhere.
Failed Payment Policy
  • Grace period: 7 days after failed payment
  • After 7 days: Service suspended (data retained for 14 days)
  • After 21 days: Data permanently deleted
