Setting Up Your Blog​

Accessing Blog Settings​

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes
  2. Click Customize on your Label One theme
  3. In the theme editor, click on Pages in the top dropdown menu
  4. Select Blog to customize your blog page

Customizing Your Blog Layout​

Blog Title and Navigation​

In the Blog section settings panel:

  • Under Blog Title, choose a display size from XS to 6XL (or hide completely)
  • Select your preferred Title alignment (Left, Center, or Right)
  • Configure Breadcrumbs for easy navigation by selecting size and alignment

Article Grid Layout​

Adjust the number of articles displayed:

  • Set Articles per row (1-4) for desktop view
  • Choose Articles per row (mobile) (1-2) for smaller screens
  • Set Blog posts per page (1-12) to control pagination

Customize article appearance:

  • Set Blog title text size for individual article titles
  • Choose Excerpt text size or select "Do not display" to hide excerpts
  • Customize the Read more label text

Configure spacing between articles:

  • Adjust Horizontal spacing between articles (0-100px)
  • Set Vertical spacing between articles (0-100px)

Section Appearance​

Set overall section layout:

  • Select Horizontal spacing size (None, Small, Medium, Large)
  • Toggle Indent section to add margin to section edges
  • Adjust Top section padding and Bottom section padding (0-100px)

Apply your brand colors:

  • Choose a Color scheme from your theme's predefined schemes
  • Toggle Use alternative color for navigation links if needed

Adding New Blog Posts​

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Blog posts
  2. Click Add blog post
  3. Enter a title, content, and upload a featured image
  4. Add SEO details and set visibility options
  5. Click Save to publish or schedule your post

Optimizing Blog Images​

For best results with Label One's blog grid:

  • Use consistent image dimensions for all blog featured images
  • Recommended dimensions: 1200 × 800 pixels
  • Compress images before uploading (aim for under 200KB)
