Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to the most common questions about Panther & Cub Hosting.
How is this different from GoDaddy or cPanel hosting?
- We don’t sell “bare metal” hosting where you’re responsible for everything.
- Panther & Cub Hosting is managed → SSL, backups, updates, monitoring included.
- You don’t log into a confusing cPanel — you just use your site or app, and we handle the rest.
Do you provide email hosting?
Yes, via managed third-party providers:
- User email → Migadu (professional inboxes)
- Transactional/marketing email → AWS SES, Resend, or Mailgun
We handle setup, DNS configuration, and optional ongoing management. See Email & DNS Guide for pricing.
Do I own my data?
Yes. 100%.
Your site, database, and app data are always yours. If you ever cancel, we’ll provide a full export.
What happens if I cancel?
- Your hosting remains active until the end of the billing cycle.
- At cancellation, we provide a final export (site files + database).
- Backups are removed after service termination.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. You can move from pooled → private → enterprise hosting at any time at no additional migration charge.
You can also add additional VPS instances (at discounted rates) or resize existing VPS as your business grows.
We don't penalize you for outgrowing your plan — you just start paying the new monthly rate.
Will there be downtime during migration?
Usually 0–30 minutes, depending on DNS propagation.
We schedule cutovers to minimize disruption.
Where are servers located?
By default in Europe (Germany/Finland), USA (Ashburn), or Asia-Pacific (Singapore).
We can provision in a specific region if requested.
What if my site suddenly gets a traffic spike?
If you're on pooled hosting and traffic regularly spikes, we'll recommend upgrading to a private VPS.
Private and enterprise clients can scale vertically (larger VPS) or horizontally (dedicated servers).
How do I get support?
Contact us via:
- Email: [email protected]
- WhatsApp: Available for active hosting clients (number provided on onboarding)
You also get a dedicated uptime status page to monitor your services (bookmark or subscribe for alerts).
Response within 1 business day for general questions, ASAP for emergencies.
Do you manage domains?
Yes, if requested. We manage domains via Cloudflare (included in setup/migration fee).
If you prefer to keep your domain at your current registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.), we'll provide DNS records for you to update yourself, or we can assist with the changes.
